Fringeopolis

The Fringe is back in Edmonton and it’s one of my favorite summer festivals! With live original theatre performances occuring daily (from improvs to comedies to dramas) there’s always something to see and all shows are $10-$15 a ticket. If you aren’t into watching plays, you can always just wander the grounds in Old Strathcona, have a bite to eat, and catch a street performer act here and there.

Wicked

Wicked is a broadway musical that provides a humorous twist on the classic Wizard of Oz tale. It is currently on tour with Broadway Across Canada and plays throughout the year in New York city. Everything about it is absolutely incredible! The set. The costumes. The vocals. And the two female leads, Elphaba the Wicked Witch and Glinda the Good Witch, are as entertaining as they are talented! If you’ve never seen a live theatre production, Wicked would be a good one to start with!
