Support Local Artists: Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market

This past Saturday we took an afternoon stroll through the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market and were pleased to find some interesting vendors there! We sampled (and purchased) chocolate peanut butter covered nibs, lemon dill mustard and organic wine. And we found some cute, handmade rings and necklaces!

There were beautiful potted flowers and herbs and a multitude of other crafts and creations! The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market is just off Whyte Ave and is open from 8am to 3pm every Saturday. Whichever city you live in, be sure to check out your local farmers’ market. You never know what you’ll find!

All The Simple Things

In a world filled with deadlines and headlines. Where work is emphasized over play. Where consumerism and the media invade our daily lives and influence our decision-making. Where the pressure to obtain high-powered careers and settle down in the suburbs is somewhat overwhelming. Often times, I find myself revelling in the simple joys of life: good food, good wine, and good company.

Here’s┬áto all the simple things.

Cheers,
LB

Wine Fest

Wine fest! We had so much fun at the Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival in Calgary last year! We thought perhaps we’d try to attend both Calgary and Edmonton festivals this year. Wine tasting, food tasting – what’s not to like?

Calgary Wine Fest – October 14 & 15
Edmonton Wine Fest – October 21 & 22
